We will make orders with our European wholesalers and publishers only when we can obtain minimum order status (17 items) with them. Otherwise, our orders will cost more as we do not receive an appropriate wholesaler discount.
This does not mean that you have to order 17 items. But, if your order, bundled with other special orders and our needed inventory, does not achieve that number, we will wait until we get to the minimum.
Most of the time, this will not affect you as minimum orders are usually achieved every 1-2 weeks. Then your order will be obtained from France within 30 days from the date of our order.
If business is slow (rare), it will take longer. Or, if your order arrives just after we have sent an order, you may have to wait up to eight weeks to receive it. At the time of your order, we will give you an estimate.
If you need your products soon and the order is under 17 items, you will be charged a $20.00 special order fee. Still allow up to 30 days to receive your order, though it will likely arrive sooner.
Rush orders are also available, but still allow at least seven days for delivery, preferably 10-14 days as French companies do not process orders as quickly as you might like. Express mailing charges will apply.
For maps and books special ordered from France, there is a 50% cancellation fee if you cancel your order for any reason after we have placed the order. If you cancel, you will be charged 50% of the retail price (adjusted for the euro) for each item you canceled as our suppliers do not accept returns.
