With book buyers asking for other cities that were not in the book, we decided to form a small publishing company to satisfy their requests. Employing a team of researchers and writers living in France, we took the 50-some tours that were already written and expanded them. Over the course of the last 12 years we have added walking tour reports for another 75-some French cities and popular towns, plus four driving tour reports for popular areas. Our tours are updated every 1-2 years as needed.
What makes our reports popular is the street-to-street directions from sight-to-sight, as well as directions to restaurants and hotels. You will not find that kind of information in most guidebooks.
As we began to sell our reports through travel magazine/newsletter advertisements, a number of our customers requested tours for rural destinations in France. Instead of writing and publishing them ourselves as there was a wealth of available information in France for sale (albeit in French), we decided in 1997 that we would also become a mail-order retailer to sell maps, trail guides, and guidebooks about France. Since that time we have gained some good wholesalers for maps/books in North America and Europe, plus good relationships with European publishers to bring you the best prices for their products.
In August 2000, we opened our Internet World Wide Web business site. Since that time, our business has experienced a 200% growth rate by bringing it to an international audience. We thank you for being a part of our success!
