


GR or Grande Randonnee trails are long distance trails that crisscross throughout France. This includes the GR5 that travels north - south from Holland to the Alps to Nice on the Mediterranean, the GR 34 that traces the outline of Brittany, GR 3 that travels alongside or near the Loire River from Orleans to Nantes, the famed St-James pilgrimage from Le Puy to Spain on the GR 65, the GR 36 that travels from near Calais to the south of France most notably through the Dordogne and Lot departments, GR 10 across the Pyrenees Mountains from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean Sea, the famed Robert Louis Stevenson Trail (GR 70) through the Cevennes Mountains north of Nimes, and many more opportunities abound on all types of terrain.
